Background : Lead apron is a personal protective equipment use as a barrier against the effects of X-ray radiation. The lead apron that tested were 6 of the 14 lead aprons which placed in the conventional and the ct-scan room of the Riau’s Arifin Achmad General Hospital , the lead apron being tested was coded as lead aprons 1,2,3,4,5 and 6. This study was to determine the condition of the lead apron used is still appropriate to the standard or not. Method : This type of research is a quantitative study with an observational approach. The research was conducted by observing, documenting, and testing by exposed the entire surface of the lead apron using an X-ray Computed Radiography. The data obtained were observed and analyzed descriptively compared to the theory of Lambert (2001). Results : The results showed that the lead apron 1,2,3 had a poor physical condition, there was a tear in the pocket and stains of the contrast media. Tests on the lead aprons showed that the lead aprons 1,2 and 3 suffered severe damage in the form of holes, cracks and fractures covering an area of 9,553.25 mm2, 718.67 mm2 and 5,341.91 mm2, while the lead aprons 4,5 and 6 had no damage to them. lead apron lead layer. Conclusion : Lead aprons 1,2 and 3 are no longer suitable for use, while lead aprons 4,5 and 6 are still in a safe condition and suitable for use.en_US
