Abstract:
Radiological examination is one of the diagnostic supports in addition to microbiology laboratory examinations, which use X-rays. Radiological examinations in hospitals that are often carried out include examination of the clavicular os projection Antero Posterior (AP). However, to see a more optimal clavicular radiograph for injury cases that cannot take the lordotic position or supine on the examination of the clavicle os, it was carried out using the tangential projection of the Tarrant method with variations in the angle of the rays of 25 °, 30 ° and 35 ° caudally. To find out the difference in anatomical information on the tangential projection of the clavicular os in the Tarrant method, to find out the angular variation of the tangential projection of the clavicular os in the Tarrant method, to find out which angle is the most informative to show the clavicular os tangential projection of the Tarrant method with a beam direction of 25 °, 30 ° and 35 °.
This research is a type of quantitative research with an experimental study, the researcher uses 5 samples with a purposive sampling technique. The research was conducted at the Radiology Installation at Arifin Achmad Hospital Pekanbaru in July 2020.
The results of the clavicular os image show differences in the anatomical information of the clavicular os at an angle of 25 °, 30 ° and 35 °, there is a difference in the angle of examination of the clavicular os in the tangential projection of the tarrant method and the most informative angle to show the tangential projection of the clavicular os in the tarrant method is the 25 ° angle.
